Bas-Saint-Laurent, not only the region where I grew up, but it is also where all my childhood memories are buried. You must have eaten a soft cream at the peak in Rivière-du-Loup, watched the sunset at Île Verte, tasted squick squick cheese from the cheese factory in Trois-Pistoles and breathed the salt air of the river to understand the extent of the Bas-Saint-Laurent‘s beauty. My family and I lived in Rivière-du-Loup each summer, we took the road to Témiscouata to go to the family cottage located not far … Pohénégamook, a town located around the lake of the same name. You have to imagine a beautiful quiet lake, and people with a heart of gold. A magical place … magic for real!
